Baker District Gateway

 

Baker Economic Development District and Convention Center (BEDDCC) is a newly created political subdivision in (North Baton Rouge community) domiciled in the City of Baker, District 1 along the Plank Road Corridor of Highway 67. One main responsibility is to implement economic development programs to the benefit of the citizens of EastBaton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.

The City of Baker is located on the Mississippi River between Baton Rouge and New Orleans and is connected to these cities by Interstate Highway 10.

Part of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area, (EBR)-East Baton Rouge Parish is known to be one of the fastest growing parishes and is in the Capitol City of our great state of Louisiana. This recognized economic growth is fueled by it being a college townâ€Ķwith two well-recognized state institutions, LSU and SU. EBR which houses(theCity of Baker in north Baton Rouge) is the home of several successful diversified private employers like Exxon, Baker Printing, Entergy, and others who invested a large stream of annual revenue to our economy.
